Riders will be supplied with a scrumptious breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Lunch will be served informally. Dinner is more formal, accompanied by the day’s prize giving and race briefing. Your first meal included in your package will be served Thursday, 6 February 2025 dinner and your last meal will be served Sunday, 9 February 2025 with a celebratory lunch. Please note there will be no lunch available on Thursday, 6 February 2025 before the race.

Coffee, tea and fruit juice will be available at lunch, dinner and breakfast. Alcoholic and soft drinks will be on sale from the bar in the rider area.


There will be water points on each stage. These points will supply energy drinks, cold water, snacks and food. Please check the route section for the exact distance between the water points.


Race organizers will supply a single source water for the water points and consumption during each stage. Tap water in our race village is perfectly safe for drinking, but it is recommended that riders utilize our supply of drinking water.

Bike Service

It is essential that riders start the race with a well serviced and prepared bicycle – take it to your local bike shop and explain what you are planning for the next 4 days – they will do the necessary. It is advisable that you carry brake pads, tubes, a master link and a replaceable dropout (remember it is unique to every bike) with you.

The Race village

Recycles will supply a complete bicycle repair service at the race village. They also supply a maintenance plan for the duration of the event, this includes a bike wash – it is highly recommended that you look at this option. Details of the bike tech package will be updated soon.

Bike Wash

Products will be provided for this service – please note this is a rinse down wash only.


Although there are no real safety concerns within the race village, riders must be alert and keep their equipment safe when their bikes are not in the secure storage facility.


Cancellations & Refunds

Should the participant cancel his/her entry/subscription, the follow refunds shall apply:

  • In the event of cancellation by or on behalf of the participant due to his/her death or hospitalization, no cancellation fee will be levied.
  • Refunds up to 06 September 2024: 90% of entry fee.
  • Refunds between 07 September to 06 December 2024: 50% of entry fee.
  • Refunds between 07 December 2024 to 06 January 2025: 20% of entry fee.
  • No refunds after 06 January 2025.

Substitutions may be made (only until 17 January 2025) at a substitution fee of R650-00 per rider transferred.

Entries cannot be carried over to the following year or any other future events.

Please note that only fully paid entries received by 30 November 2024 will receive the complimentary event apparel. We cannot place additional orders after this date, which means you will not be guaranteed to receive complimentary apparel. Entrants who are unable to attend the event, who have not made arrangements at least one week before the event date by contacting the office at or made arrangements to collect their race packs at event registration, will forfeit their chance to claim these items after the event.

Stage 1: 3 hours from start
Stage 2: From your batch start time, 4.5 hours at water point 2 & 8.5 hours at the finish
Stage 3: From your batch start time, 6 hours at water point 3 & 9 hours at the finish
Stage 4: From your batch start time, 6 hours at the finish


To qualify for prize money and be recognized as an official category, each podium category must have at least 5 riders/teams. Participants who miss a stage prize giving ceremony will incur a 10% deduction from the total prize money. Missing the final prize giving ceremony will result in a 50% deduction.
